History: The Tokio Senators were one of the earliest professional clubs in Japanese baseball, and played their home games at Korakuen Stadium in Tokyo. With mounting hostilities against the West, the Japanese government banned the use of English for team names and the club was renamed Tsubabsa Baseball Club in 1940.
